Product Description
HandHeld Anemometer
This sophisticated instrument is designed with totally indigenous technical know-how and components. It directly reads the rate of flow of air / gases, eliminating the need to import such instruments.
Electronic Anemometer has several advantages over the mechanical type in common use, which is only a totalizer. To measure velocity, the Mechanical anemometer requires integration with respect to time. whereas the Electronic Anemometer, when placed in the air-flow to be measured, directly reads the air velocity in meters / second.
The use of micro-circuits makes the Electronic Anemometer, remarkably compact and trouble free. They also permit the measurement of air-flow to an accuracy of +/- 2%.
Besides the advanced electronics, the design incorporates many outstanding features.
The sensing head consists of a chemically etched and dynamically balanced stainless steel turbine, which is pivoted on re-enforced jewel bearings, making it extremely sensitive to minute changes in the air- flow.
Non-optical, non-magnetic, non-contact Transducer is insensitive to vibrations, dust, temperature, humidity, very high intensity magnetic fields. (AC or DC) and ultrasonic radiation.
The Transducer uses the principle of FREQUENCY MODULATION and SLOPE DEMODULATION, resulting into the conversion of air-flow into electrical output. After suitable processing the output is read on the digital display.
Optional facility for AIR TEMPERATURE measurement can be incorporated in the same instrument.
Features:

Advanced Measurement CapabilitiesThis handheld anemometer is equipped with a highly sensitive vane sensor to measure air velocity (in m/s, km/h, ft/min, knots, mph) and temperature (C/F). Measurements are instant, with a sampling rate of approximately once per second. Max, Min, and Average functions help users track fluctuations accurately during analysis.
Built for Convenience and DurabilityThe device's rugged construction combines textured ABS plastic and aluminium for an easy grip and robust protection in challenging environments. The lightweight and compact design makes it ideal for on-site measurements. Practical additions like a backlit digital display, automatic power off, and battery indicator further enhance usability in the field.
Wide Applications Across IndustriesWhether for HVAC maintenance, environmental monitoring, engineering projects, or field surveys, this anemometer provides fast and precise data. Its manual operation and high efficiency make it a reliable choice for professionals needing high sensitivity and quick results in diverse conditions.
FAQ's of Hand Held Anemometer:
Q: How do I use the hand held anemometer to measure wind speed and temperature?
A: To use the anemometer, simply power it on with a 9V battery, hold it in the airflow direction, and read the wind speed and temperature values on the LCD display. The vane sensor captures air velocity, and the digital display provides readings in various selectable units. You can also use the data hold, Max/Min/Avg functions for a more detailed analysis.
Q: What environments and applications is this anemometer suitable for?
A: This device is ideal for measuring air velocity and temperature in HVAC systems, engineering maintenance, environmental monitoring, and field surveys. Its operational range and high accuracy make it useful in both indoor and outdoor conditions where consistent measurements are required.
Q: When should I replace the battery and how will I know?
A: The anemometer is powered by a standard 9V battery. The device is equipped with a low battery indicator on the display, alerting you when a replacement is necessary to ensure uninterrupted operation.
Q: Where can the anemometer be stored when not in use?
A: Store the device in a clean, dry location within the temperature range of -10C to 60C. Keeping it in a suitable environment preserves sensor accuracy and the integrity of its plastic and aluminium housing.
Q: What is the process for switching between measurement units?
A: You can easily toggle between different measurement units (m/s, km/h, ft/min, knots, mph for speed, and C/F for temperature) using the built-in function buttons. Refer to the user manual for the exact button sequence for unit changes.
Q: How does the data hold function benefit users during measurement?
A: The data hold feature allows you to freeze the current reading on the display, which is especially useful when you need to record results in challenging or hard-to-access places without losing accuracy.
